Also, no more than two vehicles are permitted to each site. Vehicles must be parked in the gravel area, and tents should be set up in the same area. Nearby attractions include Hector Mountain, Caldron Lake, Hector Glacier, and Lake Louise. It is a go-to campground for those with large RVs of up to 70 feet. It has 67 sites and, like most of the camping grounds in Banff National Park, are offered on a first-come-first-served basis. There is a hand water pump, recycle bins and dry toilets. Portable water is not available since this camping ground is optimized for RVs but is available in the neighboring camping ground, Waterfowl Lake, located just about 5 kilometers away. Other lakes near Silverhorn Campground are the Peyto and Boy lakes.
